The following senior staff are supported by a team of junior and adminstrative staff.

Jason Bawden-Smith

Jason Bawden-Smith is Managing Director of JBS Mining and founder of the JBS Group. 

Jason holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Applied Science and has over ten years experience in geochemistry.

Jason is a recognised international expert on the application of portable analytical XRF technology in exploration and mining and has spent over a decade working with mining companies to integrate portable XRF's into regional soil surveys, exploration and near mine drilling, grade control, metallurgy and contaminated land projects.

Aaron Baensch

Aaron is qualified Geologist with over 10 years experience in the mining industry and holds a Bachelor of Mineral Exploration and Mining Geology (Hons) from the Western Australian School Of Mines in Kalgoorlie.

Prior to joining JBS Mining he held senior management positions with Straits Resources and Mincor Resources and served in various roles with Breakaway Resources and Barrick Gold.

Aaron’s operational background spans a large range of commodities including copper, nickel and gold and he has been involved with projects throughout WA, QLD and NSW.

Marcus Lake

Having had grass roots experience in a Marvel Loch gold mine and vast experience as an agricultural commodity trader.  Marcus is now working for JBS Mining as a Business Development Specialist.

Focussing on international trade exhibitions and remote deliveries, Marcus has become your “mate in mining”.
